Erg Ubari
The colors of sunset on the desert - this loop pendant features a natural gemstone centerpiece of fancy jasper and is surrounded by rusty copper colored fire-polished faceted glass beads, purple faceted glass, deep brown faceted glass, and cinnamon rust colored seed beads encased in little golden accent beads.
(An erg is a large, relatively flat area of desert covered with wind-swept sand with little to no vegetation cover. The term takes its name from the Arabic word erg ( عرق), meaning "dune field". This pendant takes it's name from the sandswept dunes deserts located next to the oasis city by the same name in north-western Libya.)
The loop is double-strung with strong nylon coated wire and hanging from a satin cord with a large lobster-claw clasp closure with a teeny starfish charm accent.
