This necklace features a showstopper borosilicate lampwork centerpiece which features glowing five petal flowers in amber, opal pink, and blue tones all sitting on a swirled blue flattened base, with added drops of clear for more texture and sparkle. It is the work of master artisan, Kristan Child of Redside Designs and is surrounded by swirled borosilicate donut beads of blue, pink, cinnamon red, and amber hues encased in clear for depth, with some warm Carnelian gemstones and fuchsia pink glass beads and some little silver accents.
The loop is double-strung with strong nylon coated wire and hanging from a satin cord which closes with a lobster-claw clasp that has a teeny starfish charm accent.
Borosilicate glass is a special kind of glass which is actually more durable than normal glass - it is the same kind used in Pyrex and is less dense than ordinary glass and it also requires a much higher temperature to melt compared to ordinary silicate glass.
Necklace also looks great on a navy blue, pink or burgundy cord, or even chocolate brown or emerald green...pretty much any color, actually! Just let me know by adding a Note To Seller when purchasing if you want a color of cord other than the black shown here!
