Thunder Berry

This style necklace features a lovely borosilicate glass focal creation by lampwork artisan Brandie Rosenberry of pretty color changing purple and blues that are encased in a spiral pattern. The focal bead hangs at the center surrounded by a mix of bali silver, glass pearls, faceted glass, crystal, and borosilicate glass beads in blue, silver and fuschia hues, and little silver accents. The necklace measures 17 inches from end to end (9 and a half inches from the clasp down to the bottom of the pendant) and it has a 3 inch length of thick sterling silver chain at the end for extending the length if adjustment is needed. The chain extension also has a teeny starfish and violet blue glass bead dangle accent.

Borosilicate glass is a special kind of glass which is actually more durable than normal glass - it is the same kind used in Pyrex and is less dense than ordinary glass and it also requires a much higher temperature to melt compared to ordinary silicate glass.
